Brick Workout- 2mi Run by terrypeppers at Garmin Connect - Details
I was glad that this was a "recovery" week, so I only had to run 2 miles day because it was FREEZING outside!! The wind was blowing like crazy by the time we started running. I was suppose to be running 7:45-7:55 per mile, but I decided to just run at a fast comfortable pace so that I could hurry up and get out of the cold. I looked down at my watch and saw I was running at 6:30 pace!!! WTF!?!? That's the FASTEST that I've ever ran in my life!! Damn... When I had my lactate threshold test about a week ago, I was running 6:23 pace at the end of the test, but that was on a treadmill. I told the people doing my evaluation that I didn't think I'd be able to run that fast on dry land, but they said I was in great shape and FAST and they were sure that I could. I guess they were right. I couldn't believe it! I was running that fast and didn't even feel like I was sprinting. Before, I would sprint at full speed and it was 6:59 pace! I felt proud of myself and tried to keep the pace for the second mile... It ended up being 10 seconds slower... still great though, but I was breathing hard and tired at the end.
