For some reason I thought that training for the Ironman 70.3 Texas would be easy... basically, all I'd have to do is follow the training schedule that my coach gave me, and I'd be fine. That's what I did for all 6 of my races last year and they went good... I accomplished my goal each and every time. This week, I started my training and quickly realized it's going to take a hell of a lot more than that to training for this race. Running a race is one thing, but doing a triathlon (swimming, biking AND running) is completely different. I started this blog because this type of training is something that I've never done before and I want to document my daily training experiences. You're welcome to tag along... just don't get in my way!
By the way... I'm also training for my next marathon, which is next month! The Ironman 70.3 Texas is in April.
You can do it Terry. It's crazy but I know that you will succeed.
